Frequently Asked Questions
Do my drawings need to be signed and sealed?
Most structural work and many permit submittals require sign-off from an engineer or architect licensed in your state. Cadgency produces the full drawing set and coordinates sealing with licensed professionals in your state, so you’re not sourcing that separately.
Do you know the code requirements in my area?
Yes. Every set is produced against the code editions your jurisdiction actually enforces — IRC and IBC, state amendments such as California Title 24 or the Florida Building Code, and your county or city’s submittal format.
How long does a permit set take?
Typical residential permit sets run 5–10 business days depending on scope. As-builts and single-sheet revisions are usually faster. Every project starts with a firm timeline in writing.
What do I need to get started?
Whatever you have: hand sketches, photos, an old plan set, or just a conversation about what you want to build. We take it from there.
What file formats do you deliver?
Permit-ready PDF sets standard, native CAD (DWG) files on request, and Revit/BIM deliverables for projects that need them.
